Man without GOD'S guidance and wisdom is completely lost and hopeless.
There are many new inventions and fashion trends designed to draw man away from GOD to the worship of self.
Man naturally is inclined to seek a religion that would make him feel good, a religion that exalts him to a higher state of existence because that is what the enemy of souls whispered to Eve to get her to eat of the fruit of the tree GOD told her not to eat:
*Genesis 3:4-5
"[4]And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: 👉(The doctrine of life after death)
[5]For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods,👉(the doctrine of once saved always saved and modern spiritualism of exalting man above GOD) knowing good and evil."
And that is why today man keeps up these lies that the serpent whispered through these doctrines: "man does not surely die but continues to live on in the after life" and "man does not need to repent of sin, once he accepts CHRIST he will automatically be in heaven" and such as "meditation and mantra through various forms of spiritualistic religions:(which are religions that teach communication with the dead and fallen angels) these religions have teachings such as that man will somehow gain supernatural powers and be exalted to the state of being a god"- of which there is no such doctrines in the bible.
For the bible says:
*Ecclesiastes 9:5-6
"[5]For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.
[6]Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun."
The good news version:
*Ecclesiastes 9:5-6
"[5]Yes, the living know they are going to die, but the dead know nothing. They have no further reward; they are completely forgotten.
[6]Their loves, their hates, their passions, all died with them. They will never again take part in anything that happens in this world."
*Psalms 115:17
"[17]The dead praise not the LORD, neither any that go down into silence."
If our loved ones who have died go down into silence then how can they respond to those who are living? And it is very well that the bible states that the dead are not in heaven watching over us, for if that was true what would be the point of JESUS judging the living and the dead according to their good or evil deeds at HIS second coming 👉
*2 Timothy 4:1
"[1]I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick (living) and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;"
What would the point be of CHRIST vindicating the righteous and punishing the wicked.
(These verses prove that there is currently no dead relatives who are in heaven and they prove that there is currently no eternally burning hell with a devil carrying a pitch fork and roasting people who are dead [note: the bible teaches that there will be a hell which will burn the wicked at the third coming of CHRIST to purify the earth from wickedness and wicked people and HE will make the earth new again but this hell will not be an eternal punishing but the punishment will be eternal> this will be a study on it's own later on as we continue ] these doctrines are unbiblical and they undermine and insult GOD'S justice and love for the human race which HE created)
The bible is very clear; the dead know not anything, their love hatred and memory vanquishes and they have no knowledge of anything that is done under the sun (they literally do not know anything taking place with people who are alive) but these things are going to be seperate studies that we will study into more depth later on.
And the bible also says:
*Matthew 7:21
"[21]Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. "
♡Can man be exalted to more than what he is?
Man is sinful. We inherited the sinful and fallen nature of Adam and Eve, so naturally we are inclined to accept a religion that exalts our fallen and sinful condition and we naturally refuse a religion that calls for us to be humbled and humiliated and that calls for our pride to be laid in the dust and that reminds us that we are literally nothing:
*Psalms 39:5
"[5]Behold, thou hast made my days as an handbreadth; and mine age is as nothing before thee: verily every man at his best state is altogether vanity."
*Psalms 103:14-16
"[14]For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.
[15]As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.
[16]For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more."
*Isaiah 40:6-7
"[6]The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field:
[7]The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the LORD bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass."
We want a religion that preaches the lie 👉 "Ye shall be as gods".
Unfortunately that religion of self exaltation does not origionate from CHRIST. For our SAVIOUR humbled HIMSELF and from HIS high exalted state of being at the right hand of the FATHER, HE voluntarily chose to give up everything for us to die a humiliating death of the cross so that HE can save us through HIS LIFE, DEATH, RESURRECTION and INTERCESSION:
*Philippians 2:5-8
"[5]Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
[6]Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
[7]But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
[8]And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross."
The religion of CHRIST teaches us that man is to be humble, man is not to exalt himself because he is fallen, sinful and worthy of death but praise GOD that JESUS CHRIST has freed us from the condemnation of death through HIS merits as the bible says:
*Hebrews 4:14-16
"[14]Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
[15]For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
[16]Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need."
Since CHRIST has died for us and is interceding for us to be with HIM where HE is, does that make us sinless?
*1 John 1:8,10
"[8]If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
[10]If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us."
No.
Does it make us claim any right to think we are something more than we are?
*Galatians 6:3
"[3]For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself."
Good news is less friendly:
*Galatians 6:3
"[3]If someone thinks he or she is somebody when really they are nobody, they are only deceiving themselves."
No.
We have no right to claim that we are something when we are nothing. We have no right to devise or follow any religion that will cause us to think we shall be as gods because we are nothing.
We have no right to think that we stand as exalted beings because we are fallen, sinful, we are down to the dust and we are in need of CHRIST to save us from our wretched state.
And it is only when man begins to realise that fact that we are literally nothing without CHRIST, without HIM in our lives we are doomed, condemned to death and without any value then will we be valued in GOD'S sight and be HIS most favoured servants willingly obedient to whatsoever GOD wants us to do.
The bible says:
*Luke 14:11
"[11]For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted."
*Matthew 23:11-12
"[11]But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.
[12]And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted."
This is the true religion of CHRIST. Man humbled in the dust and CHRIST exalted in man.
CHRIST potrayed this lesson throughout HIS life, he taught it. But man has always been stubborn.
GOD is saying "Humble thyself and I will do the exalting" but
man says "No thanks, I will do the exalting myself".
♡What is the exalting of GOD?
*1 Peter 3:4
"[4]But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price."
CHRIST'S CHARACTER revelead in HIS saints. The exaltation of the meek, humble, quiet and lowly character of CHRIST.
It is not the exaltation we have in our minds of being lifted up high above our peers to look down upon them but it is the learning of the meek and lowly JESUS and HIM imparting that same CHARACTER to us that will make man a marvel to his peers and lift him high above his fellows.
Being humble, it is simple really but because the sinful nature really does not want to be humble for it battles against the principles of the heavenly kingdom, now humbleness to us sinful beings appears more difficult than it actually is. But with submission to GOD'S WILL for us, HE will also help us to be humble through HIS WORD and HIS HOLY SPIRIT.
♡Examples of GOD'S servants who learned this lesson of being humble in the bible:
*Moses:
It is recorded of him in the bible:
*Numbers 12:3
"[3](Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.)"
GOD taught Moses all that there is to know and understand about being humble. He had to spend 40 years in the wilderness hearding sheep in order to learn the lesson of being humble.
*Elijah:
*1 Kings 19:11-13
"[11]And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the LORD. And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the LORD was not in the earthquake:
[12]And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.
[13]And it was so, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entering in of the cave. And, behold, there came a voice unto him, and said, What doest thou here, Elijah?"
GOD taught Elijah all he needed to understand about HIS CHARACTER through this vision to prepare him for translation. Elijah realised his own sinfulness and was humbled at the revelation of JESUS CHRIST.
*John the Baptist:
*Matthew 17:12-13
[12]But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them.
[13]Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist."
John was the second Elijah. He had to learn to submit to the will of GOD for his life in becoming a martyr for the cause of GOD.
Now there are many servants of GOD who passed through this lesson of humbleness and became perfected saints well favoured in the sight of GOD like Joshua, David, Daniel, Paul, John, Peter, Mark, Luke etc.
But I specifically pointed out these three characters because they represent all the saints which will be in heaven by their life and death.
1) Moses represents all the saints that will fall asleep and be ressurected at the second coming of JESUS CHRIST.
2)Elijah represents all the saints that will be alive and translated in the second coming of JESUS CHRIST.
3)John the Baptist represents all the saints who die as martyrs throughout in preparation for the second coming of CHRIST.
(N.B- This is a very in depth study on its own that we will be later on studying as time goes by by GOD'S GRACE)
The point of this highlight is that when you study the life of these servants of GOD you realise and recognise that they all saw GOD, they beheld the GLORY OF HIS CHARACTER. And saw the beauty of holiness. But did that make them exalt themselves above their fellows?
No. But it made them the more aware that they were literally nothing but dust and that made them the more humbled and CHRIST'S CHARACTER was reflected in them.
The more we come to JESUS is the more we'll come to realise HIS CHARACTER and HIS loveliness and the more we'll love HIM and the more we'll love him is the more we'll love our brothers and sisters and most importantly we'll be more than willing to die for them.
And that is what JESUS CHRIST has done for us. HE gave us HIS religion. LOVE . And that is what we are required to have to be able to enter into heaven.
But we have to be humble to practise the love of CHRIST in our lives. We naturally do not have love. Love is given us of GOD and to love our fellow peers enough to die for them requires us to truly die to self and for all of CHRIST to live in us.
♡What religion should we seek for?
*Psalms 149:4
"[4]For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation."
GOD requires humbled hearts that are willing to live according to HIS WORD and WILL so that HE can dwell in us and thus prepare us for heaven.
♡What is the point of this foundation?
This is the foundation that we need to keep in mind in order for us to be able to understand the relevancy of the next series of subjects that will go into the details of fashion practises that draw us away from GOD and cause us to exalt ourselves.
Stay Blessed and Informed
