Modesty is about building the inner beauty of character and revealing that beauty in the outward adorning of the body based upon the WORD OF GOD:
*1 Corinthians 3:16-17
"[16]Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
[17]If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are."
[NB: I might mention women more in these posts because they are posts that are aimed in uplifting GODLY WOMEN and GOD-FEARING WOMEN who want to dress modestly and who want encouragement and knowledge on the subject of dress. Not in any way am I advocating modesty for one gender (the female only) but for both genders (it's a two way street).
But immodesty is an issue mostly prone in women because we are constantly targeted by society's standards of what true beauty is (standards set up by the enemy of souls) and what is socially acceptable in a world that is fast losing its hold on what the meaning of true beauty is.
Women are often discouraged by society's standards at large and do not feel beautiful on the outside because of these standards that make us think we are not perfect with how GOD created us. But my aim is to encourage, uplift, motivate, share the knowledge I have acquired on this subject during my Christian journey and experience then it is up to the individual to prayerfully research for themselves and prayerfully decide whether they want to follow the principles GOD has revealed in HIS WORD on modesty or they want to follow the world's standards upon this particular subject.
By GOD'S GRACE I plan to share some information on modesty as time continues for the opposite sex too.
My reason for sharing this information is:
*Hosea 4:6
"[6]My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children."
I want every child of GOD to be informed on the subjects that pertain to our eternal salvation (not just modesty) because we are not living once (No yolos here😑) but we are preparing for eternity and we should seek to know GOD'S WILL in what HE wants us to do in order to please HIM and dress is one of the most important subject's we should take into consideration and prayerfully decide upon in our lives for our own eternal welfare.

♡Why should we be covering our bodies?
●Women are beautiful. 😍 We are all beautiful because GOD created us that way. 😚 We radiate beauty inside and out ✨ but too often considering the environment in which we grow up in, our assosiates, the society and all the influences that surrounds us (mostly television 📺 and most forms of media📲📻🎬🎼🎧🎶🖥💻🗞📰📚) often teaches us to glorify our outside appearance in a way that pushes us to be more concerned on the outer beauty 🎭rather that the inside beauty (character) and sets up physical beauty standards that are impossible to reach as is touching the sun is 🌄.
We are often left in despair 😞 with our appearance that we forget what really makes us beautiful 😊. In society we find women going through excruciating procedures:
•botox
•facelifts
•plastic surgery
•liposuction
•breast augmentation
•BBL-brazillian butt lift to get smaller waists and bigger hips and thighs👀
•permanent makeup 💋
•fillers
•rib removal
•walking around and wearing painful high heels 💃
•glue wigs that eat up the hair on the scalp
•vampire facials
•painful facial and body laser treatments
•eyebrow surgery
•extremely inhumane diets
•wearing constricting unbreathable body shapers
•wearing tight corsets that end up deforming the body and rearranging the organs
•Heels that deform the feet👠
•Nails 💅 that you can't even properly wipe with ( 🤯🚽)
•Eye contacts
•Injecting animal fat into their bodies (now that can't be healthy)
•Eyelashes that you can't even blink properly with
to get the perfect face and the perfect body. Why?
All for the sake of the goddess of fashion, women pretty much bow down in ready servitude to her with her unrealistic and impossible insane standards that are not even satisfying and also has negative side-effects.
At the end of the day the beauty waxes old in the grave, the bones run dry and the soul is not prepared for death oor to meet the LORD JESUS CHRIST. Why?
All because more time is spent with the goddess of fashion (studying the latest fashion trends and conformity to those trends) rather than studying the bread of life (which is the WORD OF GOD) and preparing characters for eternity:
*Isaiah 34:4
"[4]And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll: and all their host shall fall down, as the leaf falleth off from the vine, and as a falling fig from the fig tree."
*Revelation 6:14-17
"[14]And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
[15]And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
[16]And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
[17]For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?"
The day of CHRIST is coming soon. How shall be able to stand? Who is as those women in the bible who had such a strong relationship with CHRIST that no situation ever turned them from their allegiance? If we only focus on how we look and not on "How is it with my soul?", "Am I right with GOD?" we can never be ready to die for the faith of JESUS CHRIST and we shall never be ready for the second coming of CHRIST.
We might think we are doing GOD'S WILL by decorating our mortal bodies because we still study our bibles. The question is not studying the bible but the question is "Am I doing what I'm learning from the bible?"
Many people will be lost not because they studied the bible but because they failed to bring what they studied in the bible into practical life.
*Matthew 7:22-27
[22]Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
[23]And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
[24]Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
[25]And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
[26]And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
[27]And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it. "
When we go to open our closets before even going outside do we honestly ever pray to GOD and ask: "GOD what would you have me to wear?", "Is this dress pleasing to GOD?", "Will this dress prevent me from making a vain display of my beauty or will it encourage vanity of display?", "If CHRIST was to come now finding me dressed this way would HE take me to heaven?" and "Will I also be dressed similar to this in heaven too, does GOD and the heavenly angels approve of my dress?".
Do we truly ask these questions? Frankly I don't think we do because if we did our body parts would be mostly covered, and i'm not talking about none Christians. Instead we dress in what makes us feel good and what makes us feel beautiful, sexy, admirable and desirable and mostly sensual.
Why don't we once try to have that same confidence of being oddly unfashionable in deciding to be satisfied with how we look and trying not to mortify the way GOD created us. (NOW i'm in no way saying we should dress anyhow and look unappetizing and unaproachable and baggy but we should take care to dress neatly, in simplicity in clothes that fit (not form-fitting) and look tidy and clean. I have a deep love and appreciation for correct taste and appropriate dressing in clothing as I am a seamstress/ fashion designer myself 😇 who is passionate about modesty).
What we should focusing on as Christians is the deep appreciation of the inward adorning of a meek and humble spirit (character) of CHRIST.
*1 Peter 3:4
"[4]But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price."
♡Am I my brother's keeper?
If we really care about our fellow brothers (some who are seriously weak in morality) we will be their keeper as the bible says:
*Luke 10:27
"[27]And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself."
So we don't want to tempt our brother's by how we look. Even if a women is in preparation for marriage. It is very important that we excude beauty of character rather that beauty of body so that we are sure by prayer and supplication to GOD'S WILL that the man whom we intend to spend the rest of our lives with here on earth truly loves us for our character and not our physique.
Besides that. Men are built differently than us (they are created much more differently than us -they think, act, talk differently than us and GOD made it so) and GOD intended it to be thus to make the marriage privilege (sex) a bliss for both but especially for men. Men are much adapted to appreciate more the physical beauty rather than the emotional and mental beauty and it does take a GODLY man to grow up to the stature of being attracted to the emotional, mental and spiritual aspect first rather than the physical.
It is the responsibility of both sexes to keep clear one another from temptations and to be pure in the process of interacting with one another and protecting the opposite sex in the fear of GOD.
Now not everybody is to going get married and not everybody wants to get married but we should be focused more on protecting each other from falling as we would protect our own siblings, sons and daughters from eternal hell in any way possible we can. If it requires us to double check our closet then we should and prayerfully move out of the fear of the LORD. I pray these bloga will be helpful and informative for us all.
